Confederation Cup: CAF Lifts Covid-19 Restrictions On Rivers United, Others

Few days before the start of the group stage of the Inter-Clubs competitions, the African soccer ruling body has lifted covid restrictions on the participating clubs, Nigeriasoccernet reveals

Since 2020, CAF has placed a ban on clubs concerning the number of fans that could be allowed to watch their home game due to covid-19.

Then clubs will have to approach the football body and seek approval for the number of fans but the update from CAF shows that it has been changed.

CAF on Monday sent a letter to all the participating clubs including Nigeria’s representative Rivers United informing them that they don’t have to seek any approval again.

The club competitions will resume this weekend across the continent
