Carabao Cup: Dennis & Okoye debut, Bashiru Scores, Iwobi Assist

Nigerians were seen in actions all across as the Carabao Cup continued on Tuesday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Emmanuel Dennis made his Debut for Nottingham forest with an assist as they defeated Grimsby town 3-0. He started the game and was on parade for 75 minutes.

Taiwo Awoniyi was a second half substitute for Forest in the game

Alex Iwobi was in the starting lineup for Everton as they advanced Round 3 of Carabao Cup at the expense of Fleetwood town whom they defeated by a lone goal. He registered the assist for the sole goal of the game.

Dele Bashiru scored one and assisted twice as Sheffield Wednesday smashed 3 unreplied goals past Rochdale.

Maduka Okoye Watford’s debut ended on a sad note as the goalkeeper conceded twice. Himself and national teammate William Troost-Ekong who also featured in the are out of carabao cup.

Kelechi Iheanacho made the starting lineup for Leicester city as they beat Stockport Country 3-1 on penalties. Wilfred Ndidi came into the game in second half.

Joe Aribo was a second half substitute as Southampton beat Cambridge United 3-0

Semi Ajayi was on the losing side as Derby County defeated West Bromwich Albion by a lone goal.

Frank Onyeka was on parade for 56 minutes as Brentford advance to round 3 of Carabao cup after beating Colchester united 2-0.

Not too bad a day in office for Nigerians.

Actions continues on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup with more Nigerians set to represent their clubs as they vie for a place in the 3rd round.
