Ex Super Eagles defendër Taribo West has advised Calvin Bassey to keep on working hard and listen to his coach following his recent exclusion from Ajax starting lineup.
Since the sacking of Alfred Schreuder Bassey have failed to make Ajax’s line up; coming off the bench in three of four games under new Boss John Heitinga.
Nigeriansoccernet gathered with Taribo that Bassey has the quality to be one of the best defenders in Europe.
“He should play to the instruction of his coach, he should invest more dedication, discipline and hard work and I believe he has the quality to be one of the best in Europe not only Nigeria and in his generation.
“I have seen him play a couple of times for Nigeria, I think he has great quality, and with what I have seen in him, he needs a lot of dedication, discipline and hard work. The sky is his limit.”
Calvin Bassey was brought on after the interval in Ajax’s last Eredivisie game against Waalwijk and laid down an assist in the side’s 3-1 comeback victory
