CAFCL: Rivers united loss home Venue, CAF appoints Ghanaian as match coordinator

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Mr Frederick Acheampong an Executive member of the Ghana Football Federation the role of General Coordinator for the TotalEnergies Confederation Cup game between Rivers United and Young Africans of Tanzania, Nigeria soccernet reports.

Mr Frederick was charged to ensure the smooth organization and success of the match in Nigeria. His responsible for team arrangements, stadium and training field preparation, match day operations, media and spectator services and security.

The match is scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Meanwhile, CAF has also listed the match officials for the game.

They include Abongile Tom – Referee – (South Africa), Ivanildo Meirelles de Oliveira Sanches Meirelles De Sanche Lopes -Assistant Referee I- (Angola) and Abelmiro Dos Reis Monte Negro – Assistant Referee II (Sao Tome & Principle).

Djindo Louis Houngnandende is the Fourth Official from Benin Republic, while Awuye Yusuf Suleiman – Match Commissioner (Uganda).

Brou Kouadio Parfait is Referee Assessor (Côte d’Ivoire), Humphrey Watenga Mandu – Security Officer – (Uganda).

Morocco duo of Hamza El Fariq – Video Assistant Referee and Adil Zourak – Assistant VAR.
