CAFCL: “NPFL Matches Will Put Rivers United In good Shape For Confederation Cup” – Ndasi

Ahead of the resumption of the CAF Confederation Cup, Cameroonian-born, Rivers United player Denis Ndasi has said the Nigerian Premier Football League league games will prepare them for the competition.

The Pride of Champions on Thursday secured a point in Akure after they held their host Sunshine Stars to a 1-1 draw.

They will commence their group stage campaign of the Confederation Cup in February as they are placed in group B alongside Motema Pembe, ASEC Mimosa and Noirs Diables.

Ndasi said that the series of matches they will play in the league before the confederation cup will put them in shape.

” I’m happy that the league has started, I think it will shape us very well for CAF games, official matches are different from friendly matches.

So, I believe that the series of league games we are going to play will help us to start our CAF competition well”, he said.
