CAFCC: Rivers United to know continental foes today in Cairo

Nigeria sole representative in this year’s CAF inter-club competitions group stage Rivers United will today Monday 12th December 2022 know who to face as the draws for both CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup takes centre stage in Cairo, by 11am local time, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

With 16 teams left following different qualifying series, the Nigeria champions will seek to pick one of the two slots from any group they fall in today.

The Pride of Rivers reached the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after they defeated Al Nasr of Libya in the playoffs round.

Expected to conduct the draw today as invited by CAF are:

Angola’s Flavio Amado, Tunisians Medji Traoui and Ayman Mathlouthi, Zambia’s Christopher Katongo and Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak.

Its a huge step for the NPFL champions after failing to make it to the group stage in previous attempts.
