CAF President announces Winner of the Women’s Champions League to receive N166.1m in prize money

Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe has announced that the winners of the 2022 African Women’s Champions League will receive $400,000(N166.1m) in prize money.

Last year, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa won the maiden edition of the African Women’s Champions League.

They however did not get any prize money from CAF as a reward, a situation that the governing body has addressed with the promise of a $400,000 bonus for the winners of this year’s tournament.

The runners-up will receive $250,000(N103.8m)
