Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles will make a long awaited return to the beach in the Beach Soccer AFCON qualifiers against Mauritania in July, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
The draw ceremony held in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday shows Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles will face Mauritania in a two-legged affair between the 19th and 28th of July.
Nigeria play away in Nouakchott on the weekend of July 19-21 with the return leg taking place on the weekend of July 26-28.
Nigeria has not participated in a Beach Soccer tournament as a national team since 2019.
The winner of the tie will qualify for the 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON in Egypt later this year.
