Balogun Named Ligue 1 Young Player of The Month

Young Nigerian prodigy, Folarin Balogun, has been named Ligue 1 young player of the month for August.

Balogun, 21, scored five goals in four starts for Reims in the first month of his arrival on loan from Arsenal.

The youngster, only two weeks ago, equalled Jacques Vergnes’ record in 1975 as the first player to score in his first three Ligue 1 appearances.
Over the weekend, the Forward added to his tally as he scored the opener in Reims’ draw against Lens.

Folarin Balogun is eligible to play for the United States as his country of birth, and already represented the under 18 MNT in 2018.

He has represented England at the Under 17 and is also eligible to play for Nigeria – as he is believed to have shown interest to play in the Super Eagles.
