Baba Rahman’s girlfriend Sally joined the listless number of Ghanaian fans celebrating the Black Stars defender’s debut for English champions Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Sally, who the 21-year-old reveals as the success behind his meteoric rise, demonstrated full support for the right-back just before kick-off of Chelsea’s matchday one opening game against Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Stamford Bridge.
Manager Jose Mourinho handed Rahman his debut start for the Blues since his £21.7 million move from German side Augsburg last month and he excelled as the Premier League title-holders recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over the Israeli Premier League side.
Rahman, who took the place of under-siege Serbian international defender Branislav Ivanovic, scored a high mark on his debut and is widely expected to hold down the role for the weekend Premier League clash with Arsenal.
