Ghanaian star Augustine Okrah grabbed the headlines on Wednesday night in the Sudanese Premier League when he scored all the goals in Al Merreikh’s 2-0 win over Merikh Kosti.
Last season’s Ghana Premier League MVP was named Man of the Match for his virtuoso display at home.
Okrah’s first was a marvel when he cut in from left after he passed a corner kick and was teed up by his teammate.
He approached the box before unleashing a powerful low short at the near post.
His second was to connect in a whipped in cross from the left by compatriot Francis Coffie.
The victory ensured Merreikh opened a five-point lead over challengers Al Hilal- who have played a game less.
