Ex-Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright has heaped praise on Germany’s Mesut Ozil, revealing that he would have ‘loved to play alongside’ the influential midfielder.
Despite missing a penalty during Germany’s last 16 tie against Slovakia, Ozil played an instrumental role for the Germans in a comprehensive 3-0 win.
The win means the World Champions will face either Spain or Italy in the quarter finals, with both sides facing off on Monday afternoon.
Speaking before Germany’s round of 16 win, about Mesut Ozil’s ability, as quoted in the “?Metro, Ian Wright said:
