Alex Iwobi Speaks on Frank Lampard’s impact on his game

Super Eagles attacking midfielder, Alex Iwobi has attributed his recent great performances to his coach at Everton, Frank Lampard.

 

Iwobi has been in fine form since the start of the season and has been arguably the best player of Everton so far.

 

The 26-year-old had struggled initially after his move from Arsenal, but seems to have found his style since the former England international took over the reigns at the club.

 

Iwobi gave his second consecutive assist in Everton’s win over West Ham in the EPL on Sunday.

 

In a post match conference, the Nigeria playmaker revealed the huge impact his coach has had on his game.

 

“I’ve always had the mindset that I can try prove people wrong, the manager has given me faith to do so,” He said.

 

Iwobi created three chances with 74 touches and 34 passes in the final third with a final third entry of 13 which earned him the of the match award.

He made his 19th consecutive Premier League start in Sunday’s tie, the longest run of his career, playing most in central midfield.
