Akwa Ibom FA Cup: Akwa United edge Dakkada to reach final

Akwa United have reached the final of the Akwa Ibom State FA Cup after edging Dakkada FC on penalties on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

A cagey affair tie between the two NPFL sides ended goalless at the Training Pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The Promise Keepers went on to win after a penalty shot out which saw them win 5-4 to progress to their 15th final.

Akwa United had been given a bye to the last four while Dakkada FC made it to this semis after beating Vandrezzer Academy.

The 14 times winners await Wednesday’s winner between Vandrezzer FC and FC Rockets in the second semi final at the Nest of Champions Training Pitch by 4pm in the finals.
