Debutant striker Kwesi Appiah is happy to have made the final cut in Ghana’s 23-man squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Appiah posted on his official Twitter account: “Delighted to have made the @ghanafaofficial 23 man squad for #AFCON Let the hard work continue!! #BlackStars #Focused ????????”

At age 27, the on-loan Cambridge United player is about to start his international career.

Appiah was a shock inclusion in Avram Grant’s provisional 31-man squad but the forward justified his call-up with some decent performances in training.

He scored on his debut on Wednesday night as the Black Stars beat Portuguese second-tier side Olhanense.

  1. It is good that Avram Grant gave Ghana new boy Kwesi Appiah a chance to excel in AFCON.At least no teams knows much about Appiah in Ghana squad and he will score more goals for Ghana. If Appiah finally play for Ghana at international level he cant play for England

  2. @ one point he is 24 yrs old, and @ another point he is 27 yrs, which is which ?

  3. Massa are you ready to take the insults if you fail??? ask Agogo, KP, etc etc
