“?Manchester United face competition from fellow European heavyweights Juventus and Real Madrid in the fight to sign AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Tuttosport claims that the trio of giants are monitoring Donnarumma’s situation at the San Siro as they each plot a move for the goalkeeping star.
The paper’s headline on Wednesday read: “Juve, Real and United target Donnarumma of Milan: Do not miss the goalkeeping phenomenon.”

Donnarumma has shot to fame over the past 15 months, is seen as the long-term successor to Juventus and Italy goalkeeping legend Gianluigi Buffon, and could be the subject of intense interest once the summer transfer window rolls around.
With Buffon nearing the end of his playing career, it makes sense to see Juventus eyeing up his potential replacement. At just 17-years-old, Donnarumma could become I Bianconeri’s next number one shot stopper for the next couple of decades if they can lure him to Turin.
United, meanwhile, still remain wary of Real’s supposed interest in first-choice keeper David De Gea, and will no doubt want to have a replacement lined up in the event that the Spain international opts to complete a switch to Spain’s capital.
For their part, Real are still believed to retain interest in De Gea and Chelsea’s Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois. Moves for the pair have so far proven fruitless, however, and Los Blancos could turn their attentions to Donnarumma if they are rebuffed in any further advances for the Premier League duo.
Donnarumma’s rise to prominence has been a whirlwind ever since he made his first-team debut back in October 2015. The then 16-year-old was seen as third choice behind Diego Lopez and Christian Abbiati but, such has been the natural way that he has taken to top flight football, current Milan head coach Vincenzo Montella, as well as predecessor Sinisa Mihaljovic, saw fit to keep faith with the teenager.
Since then, Donnarumma has sat out just five first-team matches – during I Rossoneri’s Coppa Italia run between December 2015 and April 2016 – as he continues to excel between the sticks. Currently contracted to Milan until June 2018, Donnarumma has made 52 appearances during his senior career, keeping 18 clean sheets in the process.
