Fulham midfielder, Alex Iwobi is reported to undeterred by the negative comments to was subjected to following Nigeria’s Super Eagles lost to Côte d’Ivoire in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathers.
Nigeria in the grand finale on Sunday, lost 2-1 to the host nation which resulted to some fans attacking the former Arsenal forward.
Iwobi in response to the cyber bullying, deleted all pictures on his official instagram page and also considering retiring from the national team.
Things look to be taking a positive turn with his teammates and the federation standing up for him.
Iwobi in all of this according to veteran journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, is totally affected by the social media abuse and will not “hounded out by the opinions of people whose options don’t matter.”

Iwobi is the seventh most capped Nigeria international of all time with 79 appearances for the Super Eagles.
