INJURY UPDATE: Super Eagles defender Kevin Akpoguma returns back to Action

Information from the camp of German Bundesliga side, TSG Hoffenheim revealed that injured Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Kevin Akpoguma is set to return to action this weekend

The 28 years defender was subbed off last weekend in the game against FC Cologne after having a broken nose in a contest.

During a press conference on Thursday morning, the team manager Pellegrino Matarazzo gave updates on his injured players including Akpoguma.

He confirmed that Nigeria international is training with the team though with a protective mask but considers him an option for the game against RB Leipzig.

“Kevin Vogt unfortunately still has issues with his knee and is unavailable. Angelo Stiller also has knee problems, we need to wait and see with him. Akpo is currently training with a mask (broken nose) and is an option for Saturday”, he said.

The game against Leipzig is a must-win for Hoffenheim as they are 7 points away from the drop zone.
