Nottingham Forrest striker Taiwo Awoniyi finally returns to action after a long time injury kept him with the doctors for three months, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Awoniyi has been sidelined from the team since he picked up a knock in their 1-nil victory against Southampton in the Garibaldi’s second English Premier League game of the year 2023.
The Nigeria international scored the decisive goal in the encounter played at the St Mary’s Stadium but was substituted due to groin injury.
The 25 year-old on Saturday while the Tricky Trees play Wolverhampton Wanderers was introduced in the 86th minute, replacing Belgium international, Orel Mangala.
Although Nottingham played out a 1-1 draw at home at the The City Ground, but coach Steve Cooper will surely be glad to see his top scorer get some minutes.
