Nigeria player Savior Godwin was subbed on and off for Casa Pia in the mid-season friendly against AS Roma on Monday.
Saviour was introduced as a half time substitute along with seven others, while the Portuguese side trailed 1-0 from the first half.
Stefan El-Shaarawy scored the game’s only goal in the 34th minute, he was also replaced in the second half. Tammy Abraham coming on in his place.
However, it was the Nigerian, Savior Godwin’s substitution that seemed interesting enough.
The 26 year-old, who was shown a red card in Casa Pia’s, Taca da Liga win against Trofense last week, then featured for only 20minutes on Monday night as he was later taken off.
It is unclear if the substitution was based on tactics or injury precaution, but, the Portuguese side return to action on December 28 against Portimonense in the Primeira Liga.
