Kebbi State Gov. approves N50m for sporting facilities for football clubs in the state

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved the release of Fifty Million Naira for the purchase of sporting equipment for distribution to all football clubs in all the 21 local government areas of Kebbi state.

 

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari says, this follow the establishment of football academy by the state which has inspired many youths to participate in football game.

The money is to procure 50 sets of small sized jerseys for young footballers, 50 sets of jersey for adults, 260 sets of large size jersey for league clubs, 200 pairs of track suits and 2,500 balls of different sizes.

The governor also approved the release of thirty million naira for the states participation in the 21st National Sports Festival in Delta state to cover equipment, transportation, medicals attention, official allowances and logistics.

The Kebbi state Chief Executive further approved the release of three million for the Nigeria Progressives Governors Forum Unity Football Cup competition hosting rights to aid the organization.
