“Ozoho had an Amazing Game”- Manchester United Goalie

Manchester United shot stopper, David De Gea, has lauded Nigeria International and Omonia Nicosia’s goalie, Francis Uzoho, after his heroics against the Red Devils under the flood lights of Old Trafford.

Although the Reds of Manchester defeated Omonia 1-0, Uzoho kept the Reds at bay for most of the game making a total of 11 saves.

The Nigeria international, standing in for the injured first-choice keeper Fabiano, kept United at bay for 93 long minutes, making an incredible 11 saves as the home side was frustrated for the majority of the game.

Substitute Scott McTominay finally hit the back of the net with the 34th and final shot of the night for Erik Ten Hag’s side, but De Gea still wanted to single out the Cypriots’ no.23.

“Of course. I think he [Uzoho] had an amazing game,” said De Gea, in his interview with MUTV.

“I think he made eight or 10 great saves for his team in the game but in the end, we scored a goal and for sure he made a great game.

“I know he played in La Liga in Spain. He had an amazing game and congratulations to him.”

Francis Uzoho has been under some scrutiny recently due to errors during the World Cup Qualifier against Ghana and against Algeria in an International friendly.

However his performance against Manchester United at Old Trafford last night has somewhat diluted his past errors.
