CAF Women’s Champions League: Bayelsa Queens Set for training tour in Israel

Barring any late-minute change, Bayelsa Queens are set to embark on a training tour of Israel to fine-tune their preparations for their debut appearance in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Prosperity Girls beat Rivers Angels, and four others to the NWFL Premiership title some months ago and the club added the icing on the cake when they claimed the sole ticket to the WAFU zone B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers held in Cote d’Ivoire.

With Bayelsa Queens drawn in a difficult Group B along with reigning champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, Egyptian’s Wadi Degla, and DR Congo’s TP Mazembe Ladies the Bayelsa Government has been urged to take their preparations seriously if they are aiming for the title in Morocco.

Bayelsa Queens under the chairmanship of Pastor Robin Apreala, has perfected plans to embark on a trip to Israel for a training tour before proceeding to Morocco for the tournament next month.

Though details of the trip remain sketchy but Bayelsa Queens, are aiming to do the nation proud in Morocco when the competition starts on October 30th .
