Turning 30 on July 1st, Spanish international winger and Real Madrid alumni Lucas Vazquez has just been signed on a deal extension by Blancos, possibly even on returning head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s suggestion.
As announced by Merengues, Vazquez agreed on a deal lasting until June 2024.
Previously meant to leave on a free move, Vazquez, also suitable as a right-back and a wingback, was linked to a bunch of clubs around, including Bayern Munich, Everton, AC Milan, AS Roma, and Napoli. The player is coming from what’s possibly his best seasonal performance, which got him nearly named into Spain squad list for the upcoming European league.
