Nigeria U17 team are gearing up for the African Youth Championship Qualifiers in rampant mood after another big win in another friendly game meant to put them in shape for competitive assignments.
After a screening which lasted close to a month, the technical crew of the team led by Manu Garba have settled for a squad of players who have been playing in friendly games for the team.
Few minutes ago, they ran out comprehensive winners by thrashing Grassroot Football Academy of Port Hacourt 9-0. A win which is coming after they thrashed Rarara Football Academy of Katsina 7-1 on Thursday.
Barcelona Football Academy Lagos were also thrashed 4-1 last week bringing the total number of goals they have scored in their last three games to 20 while they conceded just two in return.
Coach Manu Garba is working his way towards redeeming himself after failing to qualify the U17s for the last African Youth Championship by losing out to Niger Republic.
