Arsene Wenger has insisted that Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will not leave Arsenal in January ahead of their match with Huddersfield.

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny wants to finish his career at his former club Lorient, the French club’s president has told Canal +.

Koscielny, 32, is under contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2020, but Loic Frey said the France international had told him he wanted to return to his homeland before retiring.

The France international has been with the Gunners since leaving Lorient in 2010, and Frey said: “He told me last week in London that he wanted to finish his career at Lorient.

“I hope he has a few more years playing at Arsenal.”

Lorient are in the second tier of French football following relegation from Ligue 1 last season.
