Everton manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu can leave the club this January, with Italian giants AC Milan waiting in the wings.
“?
Speaking in his press conference on Thursday, the Dutchman confirmed the winger wasn’t part of his plans for the remainder of the season.
He said: “I spoke to Gerard and it’s a difficult situation for the player. If he finds a solution to go and get game-time then it’s no problem. But the final decision will be down to the board.”

The former Barcelona winger has been a bit-part player for the Toffees this season and hasn’t appeared at all for the club in the league since their 3-2 defeat to Everton in early December.

Things haven’t quite worked out for him this season – he has fallen behind Kevin Mirallas, Aaron Lennon, Enner Valencia and now Tom Davies in the Goodison pecking order. He was also behind Yannick Bolasie before his season-ending injury.

“?BBC Sport now reports that with Deulofeu free to leave the club, Milan could come back in with a new offer for the player. Another team linked with the 22-year-old is Ajax, with the player potentially costing them a loan fee.
Should Deulofeu want to remain in England, one potential suitor for his services are Middlesbrough, who have also been speculated as an interested party.

Meanwhile Phil Jagielka has been been linked with Premier League strugglers Sunderland, who are managed by his former Everton boss David Moyes and at 34, could make one final switch before hanging up his boots.”?
