“?Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will look to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic in the summer as the Portuguese coach eyes a reunion with the Serbian, according to the Mirror.
Mourinho is reportedly ready to test Chelsea’s resolve with a bid for the midfielder, who flourished under him at Stamford Bridge when the Blues won the Premier League title in the 2014/15 season.
Signing Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann remains Mourinho’s number one priority but he is also keen to bolster his midfield, wary that Michael Carrick is reaching the end of his career.

Having banked £22m from the sale of Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton this week, Mourinho will look to utilise those funds by singing cover for first-choice midfielders Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera.
Matic offers a different type of proposition than Carrick, with the Serbian likely to bring much more presence and power as opposed to the former England international’s excellent range of passing and ability to dictate the tempo of games from the middle.
However, prising Matic away from Stamford Bridge may be difficult seeing that the 28-year-old has formed a fine partnership with N’Golo Kante for Antonio Conte’s side.

According to the Mirror’s report, Mourinho is targeting four summer signings at United and is keen to conduct his business early in order to mould his squad as early as possible for next season.
United have been consistently linked with a move for highly-rated Benfica centre-half Victor Lindelof, while they are also monitoring the progress of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.
