“?Liverpool are after Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi, but will face competition from a wide field of Italian clubs, whom “?insidefutbol claim are also very interested.
Berardi is more likely to be snapped up in the summer if the Reds get him, but AC Milan and Fiorentina are also determined to land their man. Most significantly, Liverpool would be up against the mighty spending power of the biggest Italian giants, Juventus.
Domenico Berardi is one hell of a player in #FM2017, not many better. https://t.co/rsRWNNLAhv pic.twitter.com/nhTdTWnlOr
Not only do they boost significant financial strength, but the Turin club also have a purchase option which can be activated in the summer. If they decide to activate it, then nobody will be in any doubt over Berardi’s destination.
The striker has missed fifteen Serie A games for Sassuolo because of a knee injury, though he did feature in a 0-0 draw with Torino (Joe Hart’s current club). The player is still very highly-rated and could slot into the Reds’ pacy attack.
Liverpool have not been particularly active in the January transfer window, despite the profit from last year’s summer transfer window. Jurgen Klopp has yet to secure any high-profile signings in a month in which Sadio Mané is missing on African Cup of Nations duty.
The ball is very much in Juventus’s court over this one.
