Shinji Okazaki has reassured Leicester City fans that the club will bounce back after suffering a disappointing 2-1 defeat to West Brom on Sunday.

The Foxes’ 20-game unbeaten home record came to an end when the Baggies walked away from the King Power Stadium with three points, leaving the reigning Premier League champions languishing down in 14th in the table.

However, Okazaki is confident the Foxes will come back strongly after their latest setback and replicate the form that saw them take the league title in historic fashion last season.

1 – Leicester City have lost their first home PL game since September 2015, having previously gone 20 unbeaten (W13 D7). Outfoxed.

“It was an important game, but West Brom are like us,”? Okazaki told LCFC TV. “They’re good at defending and quick on the counter attack.

“They’re a very dangerous team. Maybe in the first few minutes, they were very good, but after that, we played a good game.

“It was difficult because the opponent is organised defensively and maybe we didn’t shoot enough. “We didn’t have a bad first half, but the second half was very open and there were a lot of counter attacks.”?

The Japanese striker also said he hopes the Foxes can use the international break to regroup as they face a Champions League showdown with Club Brugge before hosting Middlesbrough in the league.

“Both teams were dangerous, but 2-1 is disappointing for us. The atmosphere with us is difficult, but we have an international break now, so that’ll change things.

“Of course we have a good team and good supporters with a lot of energy. We will come back again.”?
