“?Liverpool will face competition from Valencia for the signature of highly-rated Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne, according to “?Calciomercato.com.
Reports emerged over the weekend linking the Italy international with a £44m move to Anfield in January as his agent presses forward with plans for talks with Liverpool’s representatives.
However, new Valencia manager Cesare Prandelii – who managed Insigne when he was in charge of the Italy national team – has reportedly earmarked the 25-year-old as a key target.

Insigne’s situation at Napoli is being closely monitored by Liverpool. The winger has been involved in a stand-off with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who is refusing to meet the player’s wage demands.
The player was booed off during the 3-2 defeat to Besiktas in the Champions League last week, during which he missed a penalty. As a result of the deteriorating relationship between Insigne and Napoli, his agent is said to be open to holding negotiations with other clubs with the view to agree a move away from Serie A in January.
Insigne has been at Napoli since his professional career began. He enjoyed a fine season last year, scoring 12 goals in 32 games and attracting interest from across Europe.
Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, is said to be open to the idea of bringing Insigne to Anfield and add to his glittering array of attacking talent.
With pace, vision and an eye for goal, Insigne could slot into the German coach’s first-team and with the added bonus of versatility – he can be deployed on either wing or through the middle – makes him an attractive proposition.
