“?Manchester United midfielder Bastain Schweinsteiger has received more bad news regarding a possible transfer away from Old Trafford after MLS side New York Red Bulls pulled out of a potential deal.
The former Germany international has endured a tormenting period with the Red Devils, after injury has left him outcasted at the club, firstly under ex-boss Louis Van Gaal, and now under current manager Jose Mourinho.
The latter has expressed that the former Bayern Munich hero is not part of his plans at the club, and he is free to find a move elsewhere, and the 32-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to America to play in the MLS, despite being included in the club’s 25-man-squad in the Premier League.
However, despite initial discussions, Schweinsteiger will not be playing for the US giants New York Red Bulls, after the head of global soccer Oliver Mintzlaff told German news outlet “?Bild that the club have no interest in bringing the United outcast to America.

“Schweinsteiger is a great player who has had an amazing career,” said Mintzlaff.
“But there are no talks [over a move to New York Red Bulls]. He is not an issue for us and he will not become an issue.”
The last time that the Munich youth academy product represented United was back in March last season in the Manchester derby, and looks unlikely to make any significant appearances following a sensational transfer window in the summer, with Paul Pogba’s introduction to the club ruling out a midfield slot for Schweinsteiger.
