Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has labelled Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as ’emotional’, while hailing City boss Pep Guardiola as a ‘genius.’

The 25-year-old capped off his Premier League debut on Saturday with a well-taken goal in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth.

The victory marks City’s eighth in a row under new boss Pep Guardiola, which breaks the record for the best Premier League start in the club’s history.

Gundogan also knows Jurgen Klopp well, having won the Bundesliga under the German manager at Borussia Dortmund in 2012.

He admits that while they are both are ‘world class managers’, he sees Pep Guardiola as more of a ‘genius.’

“?”It’s difficult to say because both are world class managers with their own qualities”, the City midfielder told Saturday’s official match programme, as quoted by the “?Manchester Evening News.

“It wouldn’t be fair to say Jurgen Klopp is more emotional, but when you see him on the sidelines living every minute, it’s not hard to understand why Dortmund were so successful under him.

“Pep is equally passionate, but in a different way.

“He is more like a genius who reads the game and covers every situation imaginable.

“Pep is always showing us how to create space and find solutions and there is no manager like him, which makes him probably the best in the world.”?

Continuing on from their lightening start to the Premier League this season, City have two away fixtures coming up against Swansea City, followed by a trip to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham, who they lost 4-1 against last campaign.
