Former Technical Adviser of Enyimba FC, Okey Emordi has said it will be difficult for the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2018 World Cup because it would take time for the players to imbibe the pattern of play to be introduced by the new coach.
The Super Eagles played won their first competitive match under new man Gernot Rohr last Saturday when they defeated Tanzania 1-0 in their final match of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.
Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday, the former Kano Pillars coach said it would take the special grace of God for the Super Eagles to qualify for the World Cup.
He explained that the coach is new to the players and so before they understand his football philosophy, the World Cup qualifiers would have ended.
Emordi said apart from that the kind of preparation for the qualifiers would also determine whether or not the Super Eagles would beat their group opponents to the World Cup ticket.
