Yet there is a unkind reminder being brewed on their doorstep, a Brazilian beer called Gol da Alemnha (goal for Germany). Brilliantly, the German style IPA is exactly 7.1% alcohol content, and the IBU score which measure bitterness is 71.
It is even produced in the southern state of Minas Gerais, location of the city of Belo Horizonte where the historic game actually took place.
