“?Jose Mourinho said that he wanted to forget about the last three years when he took over as Manchester United manager earlier this summer.
He was talking about his new club and the underachievement since 2013, but he could just as easily have been talking about his own career as he looks to make a clean break from the past and focus only on the future.
The determination to do just that was obvious as Mourinho greeted a handful of Chinese fans as United put on an open training session in Shanghai this week in preparation for Friday’s pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund.
Happily signing the notepads and various United shirts of eager autograph seekers, the Portuguese coach was presented with an old Chelsea shirt by one brazened fan hoping for a memento from their club’s former boss.

Mourinho saw the telltale blue standing out from the crowd as he walked down the line and avoided it, shaking his head and giving a cheeky smile as if to say, ‘You’re not going to catch me out that easily’.
