“?Manchester United have seen a British transfer record bid of £85m rejected by Italian champions Juventus for Paul Pogba, according to “?Sky Italy.
The offer was turned down on Tuesday, though Juve have reportedly informed United that an offer in excess of £100m would be accepted were it to come in. A report from “?Sky Sports – also published on Tuesday – however suggested that Jose Mourinho’s side were ready to put up such an offer in the following 24 hours.

Real Madrid’s apparent decision to pursue the signature of Valencia’s Andre Gomes could signify the end of their interest, leaving United the only team in the running to convince the player to move away from his current base in Turin.
Encouragingly from a United point of view, “?Manchester Evening News have also posted an exclusive declaring that Pogba is happy to return to Old Trafford, and that personal terms between club, player and agent Mino Raiola have already been thrashed out. The report also states that any deal will not be completed until Pogba returns from his holiday in Miami.
While his return to Turin is currently scheduled for August 6, United are believed to have informed Raiola that they want the deal to be completed as quickly as possible. Mourinho spoke in his first press conference as United boss of his desire to sort all of his incoming transfer business ahead of the start of the season, and three of his four target positions have already been filled.
He stated: “We made a nucleus of four priorities, four positions, priorities. To give a certain balance to the squad, to give a certain push in terms of quality, and the qualities that I need, that I want, as we know especially with the ones with more vision.”
