“?Manchester United full-back Guillermo Varela is set to join Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, according to reports.
United boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be happy with his defensive options and is willing to let the Uruguayan leave the club in order to gain regular first-team opportunities, according to “?ESPN.
Varela has not featured in United’s pre-season so far and has not trained with his team-mates while he’s secured a move away from Old Trafford.
Varela was advised that Matteo Darmian, Antonio Valencia and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are all ahead him in the pecking order at United.
The 23-year-old joined United in 2013 just as David Moyes took charge of the club, but struggled to establish himself.
The Uruguayan was afforded the chance to prove himself last season when injuries pushed him into the starting line-up, but he was dropped by Louis van Gaal after a poor performance against Liverpool in the Europa League and did not feature again.

Varela previously hinted he was willing to leave Old Trafford in order to play regular football.
“Because I saw I wouldn’t play, I would have few chances, I spoke to the manager and he told me that no, I couldn’t go, because I was going to play,” he told Uruguayan radio station Sport 890 last season.
“Everything happened so quickly that you don’t believe that you’re playing in the most important league in the world. I take it calmly, train and look forward.”
