Heartland vice-captain and defensive midfielder, Julius Ubido has said his side will not fail the oriental derby test against champions and neighbours, Enyimba.

The Naze Millionaires are the hosts of the People’s Elephant in Saturday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 26 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Both sides shared the spoils in the first fixture derby clash at the Aba outfit temporary home, Umuahia Township Stadium.

Ubido said his side need outright win to chance climbing out from the uncomfortable and untidy zone they are at the moment.

“Of course, we won’t have any reason whatsoever to fail in the top-flight local derby test against Enyimba.

“We need an outright victory in the encounter to forge ahead in other matches on the calendar aimed at getting out from the relegation zone we are at the moment.

“The derby is a clash between known foes it’s going to have its frills and spills as expected of any local derbies but we hope to emerge winners at the end of the day.

“Though we do not pride ourselves over the outcome but believe that by the grace of God we will come out top.

“We have worked very hard as well as toiled all day preparing for the crucial match something tells me we will smile at the end of the game.

“Victory is certain to greatly boost our confidence going ahead with other matches on the line,” said the former Lobi Stars playmaker to supersport.com.

The 2009 Caf Champions League finalists sit shockingly on the 18th position on the log on poorly 26 points from 24 matches.
