S’Eagles Coach To Be Named July 12

NFF-Electoral-Committee

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will name a new coach for the Super Eagles on Tuesday July 12, 2016.
The football house has given Wednesday July 6, 2016 as deadline date for those interested in the Eagles’ job to submit their applications. On Friday, the list of those who applied will be made public, while a new coach will be named on Tuesday.
Amaju Pinnick,NFF President, who disclosed this on Monday, would, however, not confirm if Zenith Bank has agreed to bankroll the payment of the foreign coach, expected to be named on Tuesday.
“The arrangement we have with Zenith is the payment of Coach Sunday Oliseh’s N54 million-monthly salary. Though that arrangement is still subsisting, as for the new coach, there is nothing like that,” Said Pinnick.
Immediate past Super Eagles caretaker coach, Salisu Yusuf and front runner Paul Le Guen are among the 20 coaches, who have applied for the Super Eagles job. Serbian Goran Stevanovic has also applied for the job, according to an online medium.
Also interested in coaching the Eagles is former Kano Pillars Slovenian coach, Ivo Sajh.

According to AfricanFootball.com the NFF is banking on the $1.5 million from a sponsor to cover the salaries of the new foreign coach.
The NFF has to seek for sponsors after the sports ministry said that it would not be ready to fund a foreign coach.
