Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has terminated his contract with Nigeria league club Sunshine Stars after they failed to pay his salaries for the past three months.
AfricanFootball.com has been specially informed that Ezenwa has formally notified the League management Company (LMC) of his decision to quit the Akure club in line with the rules and regulations of the league.
Ezenwa, who was the only player from the domestic league for the recent Eagles friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg, told the LMC he is on a monthly salary of 450,000 naira but he has not been paid by his club for the past three months.
The LMC has since demanded Sunshine Stars to state their own side of the matter latest Monday.
