New Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has arrived at Manchester United’s training ground in Carrington, making his first appearance since signing with the club last week.

The ex-Chelsea manager looks to get right down to business, and is reportedly trying to tie up all transfer dealings at the soonest, in the same manner he signed Blues stars Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas before the World Cup in 2014.

United’s players are due to return for preseason training on July 4, with the Portuguese’s press conference unveiling possibly happening three days later.

Mourinho’s wife Matilde has posted a picture on Twitter, showing her husband standing outside of the AON Training Complex holding a Manchester United bag.

“I can say I am happy, I am proud, I am honoured, but the reality is that what I love is to work and I cannot wait for 7th July to go onto the pitch,” Mourinho told MUTV.

Meanwhile, John Terry, Mourinho’s captain at Chelsea, has backed his former boss to succeed at Old Trafford, also insisting that the Portuguese was the best manager he ever worked with.

“It’s fantastic news for Man United,” he told Sky Sports News. “I’m sure the Man United fans and players will be delighted with that.

“I’ve said many times before, he’s the best manager I’ve worked under and a real delight.

“It’s a shame the way he finished at Chelsea this year but I wish him well because he’s a great manager and a great man as well, he’ll be great for Manchester United I’m sure.
