Chisom Egbuchulam has been one of the shining lights for Enugu Rangers this season, and his focus is on the trip to Port Harcourt to face Rivers United in the NPFL this Sunday.
The Rangers number 11 holds the hope that his team can leave the Garden City unscathed despite knowing that Rivers United have been defensively mean at home in this season’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Egbuchulam is excited that the Flying Antelopes have been impressive this term and took time to salute the refereeing decisions in the top-flight, which he believes have been top-notch this season.
“I am happy we are doing very well this season. The performance of the team is down to hard work, cooperation and the good work of everyone including the players and coaches. We are now looking forward to the game against Rivers United and we are hopeful of getting a decent result too,” he said.
“It is definitely not going to be an easy game, and they also know we won’t make it easy for them. I know they are a good side. The good thing about this season is that the referees have done well. I hope they would continue like they have done in the past 13 rounds of matches.”
Egbuchulam has scored six league goals for Rangers and is the club’s leading scorer so far this season.
