Jurgen Klopp Promises Not to Treat Daniel Sturridge ‘Like an Orange’

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has promised he wont treat Daniel Sturridge like an orange as the player continues his return to full fitness after longterm injury reported theLiverpool Echo

Klopp believes the policy he holds of taking the player in and out of the team at the right time is aiding his recovery and hes hinted it will continue in the final weeks of the season Klopp must decide whether to start with Sturridge in Wednesdays Merseyside derby with Everton after the England mans man of the match performance in the win at Bournemouth last weekend

Liverpool have the semifinals and a possible final in the Europa League to come while Sturridge is hopeful of playing for England at Euro 2016 but Klopp says that the key to getting him in the best shape is to not squeeze all the juice out of him like an orange

He saidIf you think Daniel Sturridge can play from the first to the last minute in the last nine games fine

Yes he is in brilliant shape I know it The best thing for us for him and for England for the European Championships is to keep him in the best shape since I have been here

Now we can say Oh my God Daniel is back lets push him through all these games YeahIf you think that is right write it If not dont ask me anymore We will do what we thinkBut still after this long period you cannot use him as an orange and take each little bit of the juice

Divock Origi has recently contributed with a number of important goals for the Reds and Klopp went on to state that there was every reason Sturridge and the Belgian youngster could line up in the same attack

He saidOf course they could They have shown that they can play together

They can be very good together But at the end we have to find the solution Who knows whether I start with one or two or someone comes on and makes a big difference in the game It is a great situation and hopefully it stays like this
