Olimpija of Slovenia coach Marko Nikolic has finally quit his post a week after he called Nigerian striker Blessing Eleke “a black idiot”.
“He made a mistake and had to pay for it,” said Olimpija chairman Milan Mandaric.
“WE have reached an agreement with Marko for him to resign as coach.”
Last week, the Slovenian league had slammed a seven-match ban on the young coach.
Marko blasted Eleke after the Nigerian celebrated wildly his stoppage time equaliser in a league match when the coach felt he ought to have instead got back into the action to see if they could have gone on to win the game.
