The Nigeria Football Federation have often hired coaches that could not develop the ‘ average ‘ Nigerian players and this should form the basis for the next appointment according to former Sole Administrator of the FA, Amos Adamu.
Until the recent court order forestalling any further decision on the matter, the Minister of Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung had given the Nigeria Technical Department a month to present a report on the feasibility of hiring a foreign coach.
In his view, Amos Adamu, who also served as CAF and FIFA executive member advised the NFF to also weigh its options based on financing. Though he opines that a cheap Coach is likely to give poor results, the former football administrator insists hiring a coach who is capable of improving the players’ ability is perhaps what the Country needs for the Super Eagles.
