Despite their 2-0 loss to Real Madrid last night, Ghana midfielder Enock Adu Kofi has disclosed that Real Madrid is not an exceptional opponent insisting that he is not proud playing against them.
The Spanish giants cruised to the comfortable 2-0 win courtesy a double from Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo but the Ghanaian believes that the performance of the ten times champions league winners was not too exceptional.
Speaking after the defeat to Rafa Benitez’s side Adu Kofi admitted that he is disappointed in the loss but playing against Real Madrid does not make him proud since he has already played Chelsea in European competition.
“I have already played teams like Chelsea and it’s about the same. It is no pride playing against Real Madrid. It was a good feeling though but playing Chelsea in Europe is the same,” Adu Kofi said.
“We were determined to win but we could not take our chances but I am not proud to have played against Real Madrid because they are a big team. I have played many big teams in Europe and I see it as normal.”
Malmo FF are yet to record a win in the champions league after losing the first leg with a similar margin to PSG and were very hopeful to record a win over the Spanish giants at the Swedbank Stadion in Malmo.
