Kennedy Ashia powered Liberty Professionals to a crucial 2-1 victory over Wa All Stars at the Wa Park in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Kweku Baffoe had fired the hosts into a 16th minute but Felix Addo levelled for George Lamptey’s men three minutes later before former Ghana U20 attacker Kennedy Ashia nailed a vital away win for Liberty 11 minutes before time.
The victory comes good for Liberty who needed victory to recover from a 1-0 home loss against struggling Hearts of Oak in midweek.
Those Wa All Stars suffered defeat, they sit safely in 8th place with 38 points and could escape any dangers with a win.
