Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has praised the expected acquisition of Ghana midfielder Edwin Gyimah ahead of the completion of his move this week.
The 24-year-old made his debut for the Bucs after coming on as a substitute in the Carling Black Label match against Kaizer Chiefs.
Gyimah is however yet to sign a contract to complete his free transfer move to Orlando Pirates.
His versatility – being able to play in both midfield and defence – particularly excites his new coach Eric Tinkler ahead of the finalization of his move.
“We have been monitoring Gyimah since last and though he only joined us on Friday I had to give him a run against Chiefs,” Tinkler said.
“He will help us a lot as he can adapt to playing in the midfield as well as in defence. We needed a player like him in the team.”
Edwin Gyimah is an experienced PSL campaigner having played for SuperSport United and Mpumalanga Black Aces.
