Ghana U23 forward Abdul Fataw Safiu found the back of the net for Portland Timbers second string side as they cruised to an emphatic 4-2 victory over their Vancouver Whitecaps counterparts in the USL on Sunday night.
The former Inter Allies goal-poacher scored in the 29th minute to put Timbers II 2-1 ahead before assisting a goal for Gavin Blair late in the game.
Safiu has now taken his incredible form in the season to five goals in the USL for Timbers II.
The talented forward who had a loan spell at Swedish side Vimmerby during his stint with Ghanaian Premier League side Inter Allies has been included in the Ghana U23 preliminary squad for the All African Games slated for Congo.
